I. Definition:

  • Warranty times: are the times in which PINACO is still responsible for receiving and resolving its warranty for storage battery products.
  • Valid warranty cards: are the cards issued by PINACO which are enclosed with each storage battery. Their forms must be in compliance with different regulations for each type of storage battery without being torn or patched up. In addition, production codes on the cards are printed by PINACO and the same as the production codes on storage batteries, and their production codes and selling dates (written by the selling places) are without signs of being erased or edited.
  • Valid warranty stamps (only being applied for types of closed automobile storage batteries): are the stamps issued by PINACO which are enclosed with each type of CMF battery, and must be still on storage batteries without being torn or patched.

II. General regulation:

PINACO applies its nationwide warranty policy as follows: the customers buying batteries in a place will have their warranty-related problems resolved by PINACO’s storage battery agents, product introducing shops, warranty centers and official subsidiaries throughout the country.

III. Warranty times: are regulated according to the groups of storage batteries, and printed on warranty cards or stamps as follows:

  • For the group of motorcycle storage batteries (traditional or closed): 06 months.
  • For the group of civil storage batteries (traditional or closed): 06 months
  • For the group of traditional automobile storage battery (MF storage battery): 09 months.
  • For the group of closed automobile storage battery (CMF storage battery): 12 months.

Ways to calculate the warranty times:

* For the types of storage batteries enclosed with warranty cards:

  • If having valid warranty cards: The times for warranty are calculated from the selling dates written by the selling places on the warranty cards plus the warranty times regulated above.
  • If having no warranty cards or vice versa but not valid: The times for warranty are calculated from the production dates, i.e. the production codes printed on storage batteries plus the warranty times regulated above.

* For the types of storage batteries enclosed with warranty stamps:

  • If having valid warranty stamps: The times for warranty are calculated from delivery months and years plus the warranty times regualted above.
  • If having no warranty stamps or if having but not in validity: the times for warranty are not calculated.

Ways to calculate the warranty times for newly changed storage batteries: The warranty times for the newly changed storage batteries are the remaining periods of warranty time of the previous storage batteries (changed storage batteries) are calculated as follows:

* For the types of storage batteries enclosed with warranty cards:

  • If the previous storage batteries have valid warranty cards: The warranty times for the newly changed storage batteries are calculated from the previous storage batteries’ buying dates. On the warranty cards of the newly changed storage batteries, the buying dates are written as the ones of the previous storage batteries.
  • If the previous storage batteries have no warranty cards or vice versa but not valid: The warranty times for the newly changed storage batteries are calculated from the production dates of the previous storage batteries. On the warranty cards of the newly changed storage batteries, the buying dates are written as the production dates of the previous storage batteries.

* For the types of storage batteries enclosed with warranty stamps:

The warranty times for the newly changed storage batteries are calculated from delivery months and years of the newly changed storage batteries plus the warranty times regulated above.

IV. Warranty conditions: it is necessary for storage battery products to have enough following conditions:

  • From original manufacturer
  • Intactness
  • Still in the warranty time

V. Conditions for change:

Storage battery products must have all warranty conditions mentioned above and are damaged by production such as short-circuit, broken connecting bridges, broken piles, wrong-placed cells, stuck in ventilation duct due to the molded resin, split card (in one or two holes for automobile storage batteries or one or two holes for civil storage batteries).

VI. Cases having no change: The products belong to one of the following cases:

  • Lack of the above conditions for change.
  • Swollen, exploded, cracked and broken lid cover…
  • Cracked, broken, melt or recast piles…
  • Having signs of being changed or modified in labels, indicators, production codes...
  • Being damaged by natural disasters, fire, flood, accident…
  • Low electric displacement under lower-level or minimum-level bars according to the regulation which are printed on battery cover (not applying the case for the types of closed storage batteries)
  • Lighting by unusual chemicals or additionally lighting by sulfuric acid solution.
  • Excessive electric charging or charging with wrong poles.
  • Wrongly using the functions such as bolt injection, electric welding, electrical stimulation….
  • Using in unaccordance with means of transportation such as using automobile storage batteries for tramcar and other civil purposes.
  • For the types of closed motorcycle storage batteries and closed civil storage batteries and CMF automobile storage batteries, there are signs of prying to open buttons or block pieces on battery lids.

The regulations, which are the basis for resolving warranty for storage battery products manufactured by PINACO, are applied from the date signed and issued until there are other alternative regulations.
